Visiting a vintage perfume fair

There are many annual perfume fairs where all the major and niche perfume houses promote their brand and latest releases. However, fairs where you can find vintage and discontinued perfumes and perfume-related items are very rare. For people like us, it is an excellent opportunity to hunt for items that are highly requested. You can find vintage perfumes on various re-seller websites, in antique stores, in second-hand stores, at estate sales and countless other places, but it is always a kind of treasure hunt. There is simply no place where you can find countless numbers of perfume bottles together, simply because they are vintage, discontinued and rare. It takes many visits and purchases to score just a few items. However, sometimes you come across events like this where all wishes come together.

The perfume fair that I visited is quite unique in its kind, because only vintage perfumes and collectors' items are sold here. Exhibitors come from many different countries to sell their unique inventory. Think of vintage perfumes, discontinued perfumes, mini perfume bottles, large factice (display) bottles, perfume-related objects such as snowglobes, limited edition items, scarves and brooches. The downside of such an event is of course that the exhibitors also know their prices. They also scour the world for unique items and know that collectors are happy to pay high prices for them. We have seen collectors buy multiple factices for hundreds of euros each. Another problem is, what you see is what you get. These are unique items that must remain intact, so testing is not permitted. We must therefore rely on our knowledge and nose to determine whether a product is still good enough to sell. Fortunately, there are still many reasonably priced items available. And of course, a place like this is a great opportunity for us to look for the products you're asking for.
